Motion / Configure Axis / Axis Inputs

For some applications you may need to use sensors or other inputs that provide you with positions for home and/or positive end stop and/or negative end stop. To establish these and assign digital inputs on your InoDrive module, you use the settings option of the Configure Axis block.

Click the settings icon in the upper left corner to display the Additional Configuration window. In this example, our application needs a home, positive end stop , and a negative end stop. When you click the appropriate check box, the Configure Axis block displays drop down selectors for you to select which of the 4 available InoDrive digital inputs at the selected Slot you want to assign these 3 positions. In our example we are assigning the Home, positive end, and negative end to digital input 0, 1, and 2 respectively. Also note that for each of these inputs you can check the Inverted checkbox to indicate that when the digital input signal is OFF, the given position is reached

!Both of the End Stop inputs are interpreted by the InoDrive as Overtravel indications and if detected will cause the motor to immediately stop and set the appropriate Motor Status Flag(s). Refer to the Home|End Switch topic for details on how to use End Stop inputs for Homing
